I'm sorry - that really stinks. I do admire you for being able to recognize that, and admit it to yourself. And I really admire how quickly you write. I really need to stop writing about the real world, don't I? ;)Liz Blockerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16160510626027597666noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6667260282067472646.post-71664127490337178832014-05-21T17:06:47.653-07:002014-05-21T17:06:47.653-07:00Ehh... I have a really hard time with that, and several abandoned projects that I haven't looked at since I finished them. I don't know if I'll ever go back to any of them.Mason T. Some of my favorite advice ever is: Give yourself permission to write crap.

Congrats on finishing! (A first draft anyway.) I'm a firm believer that if it's my computer, it should work how I want it to, so I won't use an OS that I don't want to.

And thanks. I try to look at this as a learning experience, and now I have this entry to go back to the next time I feel like trying to revive something that's failed before. The new story planning is going very well so far. ^_^Mason T. (unless you're into Mac) I'm so glad I got my laptop while Windows 7 was still around.

Good for you about the story. It may feel like it, but writing is never wasted time. If you learned something and got some practice in, it was worth it. Best of luck with this new story. :)Melissahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08516493326566981116noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6667260282067472646.post-77759205692865803102014-05-14T20:56:06.379-07:002014-05-14T20:56:06.379-07:00Thanks. Normally I'd have looked into a replacement motherboard, but that's twice this computer has betrayed me (the first time after two weeks, the second after nearly four years) so I'm not giving it a third chance. Already ordered the parts for a new one.

...and yes, I'm going to be doing a ton more backups now. O_oMason T. But on ...Oh man, I'm sorry about your computer. But on the other hand, well, sometimes it's good to get a new computer. I'm in that phase where I'm realizing that my computer has reached it's life expectancy (after giving up magic smoke, being declared a goner, living in the freezer, then being resurrected through an ancient ritual involving a moving truck and being bodily removed from the cursed area), so I'm cautiously watching it. I hope you didn't lose any data. Hmm, time to go back up... Renahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02767762370997304308noreply@blogger.com
